Flowering Apricot, Peach, Pear, Plum and Cherry Varieties
These non-fruiting beauties are a landscaper's dream. Great spring bloom. Summer foliage
on an elegant tree and then the fall color just blows you away.
Ornamental Apricot
PEGGY CLARK One of the first spring bloomers - even before the flowering cherry trees!
Double rose pink flowers with a fabulous fragrance. Rounded, deciduous canopy.
Zones 7-9. $29.99 3 gal (4-5ft).
Ornamental Peach
PEPPERMINT No fruit, but WOW what a flower! Large, double petalled red/pink/white striped blossoms
burst forth in mid spring. Say hello to spring with this beauty. Will sometimes bear all white or all pink flowers
on a branch. Zones 6-9. $29.99 3 gal (4-5ft).
Ornamental Pear
CLEVELAND SELECT FLOWERING PEAR Tough and beautiful selected variety of a Bradford-type pear.
This one is a winner for an elegant focal point or as a specimen tree. Need a dramatic entrance?
Line your pathway with these for maximum impact. Zones
5-8. $29.99 3 gal (4-5ft).
Ornamental Plum - Purple leaf!
KRAUTER VESUVIUS (Prunus cerasifera) The darkest of the purple-leafed plums.
Topping out at 8-10 feet, the tree is vase-shaped and easy to grow. Small pink flowers in spring.
Drought tolerant once established and has its best color in full sun. South to Zone 9. $29.99 3 gal (4-5ft).
ST. LUKE'S (Prunus cerasifera) A beautiful purple-leafed plum that performs well south to Tampa. Topping out at 15 feet, this
beauty has small pink flowers in spring and a great red fall color. Drought tolerant once established and has best color in full sun. South to Zone 9.
$29.99 3 gal (4-5ft).
Ornamental Cherry
OKAME Always recognizable even in winter by their gorgeously textured, horizontally striated reddish trunks,
flowering cherry trees are among the most lovely of ornamental tree specimens. In the very early spring, Okame's showy,
mildly fragrant pink blossoms unfold from deep maroon buds, and float like a delicate rosy cloud over the winter landscape
for several weeks. In more northern regions the fall leaf coloration is quite striking, with a mixed show of bold yellows, oranges and reds.
Tolerant of the heat at least as far south as Orlando, Okame makes an outstanding small (to about 15-20'), fast-growing architectural addition
to your landscape throughout the year (picture it lining a driveway or as a star in your little courtyard). In its extreme southern range, Okame
appreciates the benefits of some afternoon shade. Non-fruiting, hardy to Zones 5-9. $29.99 3gal(4-5ft)
YOSHINO Like Okame, Yoshino is a gorgeous ornamental tree well suited to the small landscape, but not generally found as far south as
Okame. Cherry blossom festivals in Washington, D.C. (where 3000 were a gift from the Japanese in 1912) and in Macon, GA rely on Yoshino for
their lavish displays of the faintly almond-scented bloom. Here at Just Fruits, you can see them blooming in our permanent gardens in late February
to early March. Zones 5B-8B. $29.99
