Ray Ruby Grapefruit Tree – Citrus paradisi ‘Ray Ruby’
Ray Ruby is a pink to light red fleshed grapefruit with a pink blushed skin. Segments are darker colored near the edges (why it’s called Ray!). Ray Ruby is sweet and juicy with a thicker peel than other grapefruits. Ray Ruby was found in Texas as a mutation of the Ruby Red and was released in 1986. Fruit ripens December to May. Self-fertile. Zones 8B-10.
