Parson Brown Orange Tree – Citrus sinensis ‘Parson Brown’
Parson Brown orange tree is known for it’s cold tolerance, often surviving to the upper teens. The fruit was one of the leading sellers in Florida until around 1920. The fruit are large, very juicy with a mild sweet flavor. Eaten fresh or used for fresh squeezed orange juice. Fruit ripens early, a good choice for marginal areas and holds well on the tree. Ripens October to February. Self Fertile. Zones 8B-10.
