Owari Satsuma Tangerine Tree – Citrus unshiu ‘Owari’
The Owari Satsuma tangerine tree is one of the most sold trees of the Satsuma group. Known for it’s cold tolerance, it is often the only citrus grown commercially in North Florida. Fruit is large, thick-skinned and easy to peel. Flavor is excellent. Fruit doesn’t store well on the tree and is best harvested and stored at peak of ripening. Fruit ripens October to December. Self fertile. Zones 8A-10.
