Fruitscaping™ with Kumquat Trees

Unleash the beauty and taste of the Far East in your garden with Kumquat Trees. Kumquats, the “little gems” of the citrus family, are celebrated for their small size, rich flavor, and unique eating style – skin and all. They add a touch of exotic charm to your garden while delivering a powerful citrus punch.

Kumquat trees are ideal for almost any garden setting. They are cold-hardier than other citrus trees and are capable of producing fruit even in cooler climates. For those living in areas with harsh winters, these trees can be easily grown in containers and brought indoors when the temperatures dip.

Offering a distinctive culinary experience, kumquats possess a sweet-tart flavor profile. The outer skin is sweet, and the inner flesh is tart, creating a delightful contrast. Enjoy them fresh, candied, or use them as a zesty addition to salads, desserts, and beverages.

These small, evergreen trees are an aesthetic delight year-round. Their glossy, dark green leaves contrast beautifully against the bright, orange-yellow fruits, and the fragrant white blossoms herald the arrival of spring.

Kumquat trees are easy to grow and maintain. They prefer well-draining soil and regular watering. They’re also self-pollinating, so you only need one tree to enjoy a generous harvest.

For small gardens or patios, consider dwarf kumquat varieties. These compact trees won’t outgrow their space and are perfect for pot cultivation.

Growing a kumquat tree is a rewarding experience, both visually and gastronomically. From their ornamental beauty to the delightful, bite-sized fruits they bear, kumquat trees are a must-have addition to your Fruitscaping™ journey.

Shipping Information

Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.

The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door:  We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!

Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
