Bloomsweet Grapefruit Tree – Citrus paradisi ‘Bloomsweet’
Bloomsweet is an oddity – is it a grapefruit hybrid or a mix of mandarin, pumello, and grapefruit? Whatever its parentage, it’s delicious! The oblong yellow fruit is larger than most grapefruits, has an easy to peel thin skin, and can be segmented just like a tangerine. The flesh is white and sweet with no bitterness. PLUS mature Bloomsweet trees have survived 15F! Try that with any other grapefruit variety! Also known as Kinkoji in Japan. Fruit ripens late November to April. Self-fertile. Zones 8A-10.
