Bayleaf

Bayleaf (Laurus nobilis) The real deal from the Mediterranean. Easy to grow evergreen, very winter hardy to Zone 8b. Young leaves are used to flavor soups, stews and stuffings. Garden Sorrel (Rumex acetosa) Add zest to your salad. Tangy lemon-flavored leaves are prized in salads or steamed greens. The French make a delicious sour cream and sorrel soup. Forms clumps of broad, tender-leafed greens that can be harvested all year round. Zones 8A-10. $9.99 1 gal (1ft).

Rosemary (Rosemary officianalis)

SALEM - Excellent culinary variety. Dense and upright, makes a great low hedge or background border plant. Zones 7-10. $9.99 1 gal (1-2ft).

Thai Ginger (Alpina galanga) A beautiful low-growing lily. Ginger thrives in rich, well-drained, moist soils. The roots can be harvested year `round. They have a delightful spicy-hot flavor commonly used in Asian dishes, cakes and breads. In Asia, where this variety grows wild, both the pungent spicy roots and the tender young shoots are harvested. Thai ginger is an excellent container plant. Mioga Ginger (Zingiber mioga) A Japanese ginger whose flowers and young shoots are used in tempura. Flowers may also be eaten raw and the shoots are pickled for a garnish. Mioga ginger is an excellent container plant. Zones 7B-10. $7.99 per rhizome

Kaffir Lime A favorite Thai and Indonesian spice. The tender leaves and rind are finely chopped to impart their unique, oily lime flavor. The lime is great for juicing as well. Use in a wide variety of dishes. Zones 9-10. $99.99 6 gal (4ft plus).
